In an official statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad, and African Affairs, Algeria expressed deep concern over the recent shifts in the Syrian political and security landscape. The communiqué highlighted Algeria’s steadfast attention to these changes, urging all Syrian parties to prioritize unity and peaceful resolution to ensure the nation’s security, stability, and sovereignty.
“Algeria follows with great attention the recent developments in the situation and the accelerated changes in the Syrian Arab Republic. It calls on all Syrian parties to unity and peace, urging them to work towards the preservation of the country’s security, stability, unity, and territorial integrity,” the statement underscored.

Underscoring the shared history and solidarity between the Algerian and Syrian peoples, the statement reiterated Algeria’s profound support for Syria during these challenging times. Algeria’s enduring bond with Syria is deeply rooted in a legacy of mutual assistance and shared aspirations for independence and sovereignty.
“Algeria reaffirms its unwavering support for the brotherly Syrian people, with whom the Algerian people share luminous pages of a common history based on solidarity and mutual aid,” the communiqué stated, emphasizing the historical and cultural ties binding the two nations.
Advocating Dialogue for a Unified Future
Algeria called for inclusive dialogue among all components of Syrian society, urging Syrians to prioritize their nation’s supreme interests above all else. The appeal emphasized the importance of protecting Syria’s resources, fostering a collective vision for the future, and establishing institutions that reflect the will of its people, free from foreign interference.
“Algeria also calls for dialogue among the sons and daughters of the Syrian people, in all their diversity, inviting them to prioritize the supreme interests of Syria, preserve the country’s wealth and resources, and turn towards the future to build a unified nation with institutions rooted in the will of the Syrian people,” the statement concluded.
