Algeria, Cameroon Sign Partnership Agreement in Fisheries and Aquaculture

ALGIERS- Today, on Friday, Minister of Fisheries and Halieutic Productions, Ahmed Bedani, presided over the signing ceremony of a cooperation and partnership agreement between the Algerian Chamber of Fisheries and Aquaculture and its Cameroonian counterpart. The event took place on the sidelines of the ninth edition of the International Salon of Fisheries and Aquaculture, held at the Mohammed Ben Ahmed Conference Center in the province of Oran, Algeria.

The signing ceremony marks a significant milestone in the collaboration between the two countries in the crucial sectors of fisheries and aquaculture. The agreement underscores the commitment of both nations to enhance cooperation, share expertise, and promote sustainable practices in the fishing industry.

According to a statement released by the Ministry, the signing ceremony was part of the activities organized during the second day of the International Fisheries and Aquaculture Salon. The event provided a platform for fruitful discussions and networking opportunities, with various companies, institutions, and economic stakeholders participating in B to B and G to B work sessions.

Minister Bedani actively engaged in the working sessions, overseeing and participating in discussions aimed at fostering collaboration and innovation in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors. Following the sessions, he embarked on a tour of the exhibition pavilions at the salon, interacting with exhibitors and participants. During this tour, the Minister fielded questions from members of the media regarding the salon and the latest developments in the fisheries and aquaculture sectors.

The partnership agreement between Algeria and Cameroon signifies a commitment to mutual growth and development in the vital fields of fisheries and aquaculture. Through collaborative efforts and exchange of best practices, both countries aim to address common challenges, promote sustainable resource management, and unlock the full potential of their fisheries and aquaculture industries.
