ALGIERS- During the holy month of Ramadan, General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the Algerian People’s National Armed Forces (ANP), emphasized the commitment to safeguarding sovereignty, stability, and security through inspection visits to various ANP components.
In his Eid greetings message to ANP personnel, General Chanegriha highlighted the objective of these visits, which is to assess “the professional and living conditions of our personnel.” The inspections yielded positive findings, with the General commending “the significant efforts made by ANP cadres and personnel, across all categories and levels of responsibility, in fulfilling the noble constitutional missions assigned to them.” He specifically acknowledged their rigorous implementation of security measures to address threats arising from the unstable geopolitical and security situation in the region.
These visits, conducted during Ramadan, aimed to oversee the implementation of the combat readiness program for 2023/2024 and enhance direct communication with personnel to address their concerns. General Chanegriha delivered speeches during these visits, outlining directives and guidance for the various components of the ANP.
At the Command of the Land Forces on March 14, General Chanegriha stressed the importance of demonstrating the ANP’s capabilities in promoting its deserved status. He emphasized the responsibility of each individual to fulfill assigned missions with the necessary rigor to realize the vision of a new Algeria.
On March 17, during a visit to the Command of the Air Forces, the Chief of Staff emphasized the paramount importance of maintaining high morale among troops, as he believes it is crucial for the development, strength, and victories of the armed forces.
Similarly, during visits to the Command of the Naval Forces on March 19 and the Republican Guard Command on March 23, General Chanegriha underscored the need for rigorous execution of assigned missions, given the strategic importance of maritime operations and the crucial role of the Republican Guard in ensuring national security and stability.
Subsequent visits to the Air Defense Command on March 26 and the National Gendarmerie Command on March 28 reiterated the imperative of maintaining operational readiness to defend national airspace and combat terrorism and organized crime.
Finally, on April 2, during a visit to the 1st Military Region Headquarters in Blida, General Chanegriha emphasized the importance of unity and cohesion in Algerian society as a solid defense against all threats.
Through these engagements, General Chanegriha reaffirmed the ANP’s commitment to preserving Algeria’s sovereignty, stability, and security, demonstrating leadership and dedication on the ground.
