ALGIERS- The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, received, this Sunday, at the headquarters of his ministerial department, the vice-president of Sinopec, Liu Hongbin, indicated a press release from the ministry published on its Facebook page.
The parties reviewed the cooperation and partnership relations uniting the two companies Sonatrach and Sinopec, and the prospects for their reinforcement. They also welcomed the excellence and solidity of their relations.
Also, the parties discussed the business opportunities and future investment prospects of Sinopec in Algeria in the field of hydrocarbons, in particular exploration, the increase in production and the rate of recovery as well as in the field of petrochemicals and processing industries, within the framework of the new law on hydrocarbons as well as the legal framework of investment in Algeria.
The minister stressed the importance of cooperation and partnership linking Algerian and Chinese companies, while highlighting the partnership projects that can be concluded in the fields of renewable energies, in particular photovoltaic solar energy, hydrogen, wind power and geothermal energy, as well as the field of equipment manufacturing and the exploitation of mining resources used in the renewable energy industries.
