ALGIERS- During the fifth day of his visit to China, General of the Army Said Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), toured two Chinese companies, one specializing in aircraft manufacturing and the other in the production of electronic technologies and cyber defense systems.
In Beijing, General Chanegriha first visited the headquarters of CATIC AFIC Global, a company specialized in the manufacturing of aircraft and aeronautical equipment. The Ministry of National Defense (MDN) reported that he received a presentation on the company’s products, including aircraft designed for search and rescue, firefighting, as well as helicopters and reconnaissance planes.
Following the visit, Chanegriha and his accompanying delegation engaged in extensive discussions with the company’s officials, delving into potential areas of bilateral cooperation within the military industries.
For his second visit, Chanegriha proceeded to ELINC, a subsidiary of the CEC group, focused on the production of technologies, electronic systems, and cyber defense. The MDN highlighted that a working session was held after the tour, dedicated to examining collaboration prospects and means of further development through the exchange of experiences.
The visit signifies Algeria’s interest in strengthening ties with China in the defense sector, exploring avenues for technology transfer, and fostering collaboration in areas critical to national security. As both nations continue to deepen their strategic partnership, these discussions open possibilities for joint ventures and advancements in military capabilities.
