Algeria, Côte d’Ivoire Bolster Bilateral Ties with Renewed Strategic Cooperation Framework

Algiers, Algeria | January 16th, 2025 — In a significant diplomatic development, Algerian Minister of Health Abdelhak Saihi was received on Wednesday by Ivorian President Alassane Dramane Ouattara during an official visit to Côte d’Ivoire as the Special Envoy of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. According to the official communiqué released by the Algerian Ministry of Health, the reinvigorated commission will prioritize cooperation in key areas such as energy, agriculture, vocational training, and water resources management. Both parties underscored the strategic importance of Côte d’Ivoire as a key player in Africa’s development landscape and emphasized the mutual benefits of sharing expertise and resources for sustainable growth.

Minister Saihi reiterated Algeria’s unwavering support for strengthening African solidarity through pragmatic partnerships, highlighting the visit as a continuation of Algeria’s proactive foreign policy under President Tebboune’s leadership. He further stressed that Algeria remains committed to fostering economic resilience and capacity-building initiatives across the continent.
