Algeria Declares Completion of a Republican Judicial System: A Triumph of Governance and Justice

He lauded the significant progress made in restoring trust in state institutions and consolidating governance, noting that the new Constitution has played a decisive role in elevating the judiciary’s status and solidifying its independence. “Since the implementation of the new Constitution, the judiciary’s role has been strengthened, and its independence has been firmly entrenched,” he emphasized.

The President highlighted the transformative reforms introduced under his leadership, aligning with his promises to the Algerian people. Legislative advancements, he explained, have institutionalized the moralization of public life and intensified the fight against corruption and misconduct. “These modernization efforts have enhanced the judiciary’s performance,” Tebboune noted, expressing confidence in achieving even greater progress in digitizing and modernizing the sector. Reflecting on Algeria’s turbulent past, he underscored the eradication of corrupt networks, known as la issaba, which once undermined governance and accountability.

Turning to international matters, President Tebboune welcomed the recent arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) against two leaders of the Zionist entity for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. He characterized this as a resounding validation of Algeria’s persistent calls for accountability and justice.

“Algeria’s call has resonated with honorable individuals across the globe, demanding an end to the impunity of those who kill the Palestinian people,” Tebboune declared. He extended his gratitude to “noble individuals worldwide, including our brothers in South Africa,” for supporting Algeria’s stance on this critical issue.
