Algiers, Algeria | May 24, 2024 — The Ministry of National Defense (MDN) released a statement on Friday, detailing a significant achievement in the ongoing battle against terrorism. The People’s National Army (ANP) conducted a meticulously planned operation in the rugged terrain of the Tmoulgua Bir Sefsaf mountains, situated within the operational sector of Chlef in the first military region. The operation resulted in the neutralization of two dangerous terrorists: Kechouche Abdelkader, also known as Abou Djaafar, and Khelloufi Abdelkader.
The ANP’s swift and decisive action not only eliminated these threats but also led to the recovery of substantial weaponry and equipment. Among the items retrieved were two submachine guns, three magazines, ammunition, operational binoculars, and various other tools utilized by the terrorists.
This successful counter-terrorism endeavor exemplifies the ANP’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation against extremist elements.
