Algiers, Algeria | February 28th, 2025 —In a resolute demonstration of Algeria’s unwavering commitment to humanitarian solidarity and regional cooperation, a substantial consignment of aid has been dispatched to the Republic of Niger. The initiative, executed under the direct instructions of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune—who also serves as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defense—underscores Algeria’s enduring dedication to supporting vulnerable populations, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan.

 

Dr. Ibtissem Hamlaoui, President of the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA), personally oversaw the dispatch operation, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of humanitarian relief to the neighboring nation. The assistance, primarily composed of vital food supplies, was meticulously loaded onto three aircraft belonging to the Algerian Air Force, reflecting the strategic mobilization of national resources to fulfill Algeria’s humanitarian obligations.

Algeria’s proactive approach to humanitarian relief, particularly within the African continent, reaffirms its dedication to fostering regional stability and solidarity.
