Algeria, Egypt Discuss Joint Aviation Cooperation to Revitalize Air Traffic

ALGIERS- Algeria and Egypt are seeking to revitalize air traffic between the two countries, a sector expected to support tourism and trade and pave the way for new air routes between them.

This was the outcome of a meeting held on Monday between the Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation, Mohamed Abbas Helmi, and the Algerian Ambassador to Egypt, Abdelaziz Benali Cherif. During the meeting, several topics of mutual interest were discussed, with the most significant being the revitalization of air traffic between Egypt and Algeria.

The Egyptian minister emphasized the depth of the historical relations between the two sisterly countries and the positive developments they are witnessing, reaffirming his ministry’s commitment to strengthening these relations by expanding cooperation in various aspects of civil aviation, including training and exchange of experiences.

On the Algerian side, the ambassador commended the efforts made by the Egyptian counterpart, emphasizing Algeria’s willingness to deepen partnership with Egypt, especially in light of the positive developments and major development projects currently underway in Egypt.

This meeting represents an important step towards enhancing the strategic ties between Egypt and Algeria and opens the door to new horizons for fruitful cooperation in the field of civil aviation, to the benefit of both countries and their peoples, stated a press release from the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation.
