Algeria-Egypt High Joint Commission Set to Convene in Cairo for Strategic Partnership Enhancement

Algiers, Algeria | October 27th, 2024 — Cairo will soon host the upcoming session of the Algeria-Egypt High Joint Commission, a crucial event expected to deepen strategic and economic ties between the two nations, announced Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on Sunday evening. The announcement was made following a press briefing with Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who is on a working and fraternal visit to Egypt.

El-Sisi highlighted that discussions between the Algerian and Egyptian delegations focused on expanding the scope of cooperation, emphasizing the substantial opportunities for mutual advancement. He underscored that the ninth session of the Joint Commission would aim to foster “a higher level of cooperation across sectors,” with both nations poised to leverage these opportunities for mutual economic and strategic gains.

As part of the shared recognition of each country’s struggles and achievements, President El-Sisi extended his best wishes to Algeria in celebration of the 70th anniversary of its Revolution for Independence. Reflecting on the historic bonds between Algeria and Egypt, El-Sisi expressed profound respect and admiration for the Algerian people’s enduring commitment to freedom, noting the deep appreciation that Egypt holds for Algeria’s journey and continued resilience.
