Algeria Enhances Diplomatic Security Expertise: Graduation of 55 National Security Officers from Specialized Training

Algiers, Algeria | February 7th, 2025 — In a significant step towards bolstering Algeria’s diplomatic security capabilities, the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Lounès Magramane, alongside the Director General of National Security, Ali Badaoui, presided over a graduation ceremony for 55 high-ranking officers of the National Security. The event, held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, marked the culmination of specialized training courses conducted by the Diplomatic Institute and International Relations.

During his address, Magramane underscored the Ministry’s unwavering commitment to professional training, highlighting the importance of investing in human capital to elevate law enforcement standards and enhance Algeria’s diplomatic presence on the global stage. He lauded the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) for prioritizing advanced training initiatives, which are crucial in equipping officers with the expertise required to navigate the complexities of international security and diplomatic affairs.

Echoing this sentiment, Director General Ali Badaoui emphasized the critical role of specialized training in reinforcing the intellectual and strategic capacities of national security personnel. He asserted that the program, tailored to high-level security professionals, would significantly contribute to strengthening Algeria’s security framework and diplomatic engagement.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in an official statement, highlighted that the training courses stem from a strategic cooperation agreement between the Ministry and the Directorate General of National Security. The initiative brought together esteemed diplomats, former ambassadors, and subject-matter experts to deliver in-depth courses covering a wide spectrum of disciplines linked to diplomatic security.
