ALGIERS- In line with preparations for commemorating the 70th anniversary of the onset of the November 1st, 1954 revolution, Algerian Prime Minister, Mr. Nadir Larbaoui, oversaw the establishment of the National Commission for the Preparation of Commemorative Celebrations. The inauguration took place on Monday in Algiers, following directives from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
The commission, tasked with organizing the festivities marking this historic milestone, comprises representatives from various ministerial sectors and will be overseen by the Ministry of Mujahideen Affairs.
The November 1st revolution holds immense significance in Algerian history as it marked the beginning of the country’s struggle for independence from colonial rule. As Algeria prepares to commemorate the 70th anniversary of this pivotal event, the government aims to honor the sacrifices made by the nation’s freedom fighters and reaffirm the principles of sovereignty and national identity.
