Algeria: General Chanegriha Oversees Night Tactical Exercise in 2nd Military Region

Algiers, Algeria | May 23, 2024 —  On Wednesday, General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), supervised the execution of a night tactical exercise with live ammunition in the 2nd Military Region, according to a statement from the Ministry of National Defense (MDN) released on Thursday.

The exercise, named Chihab 2024, was conducted at the “Berdjem Dermouche” firing and maneuver range. It was executed by the 38th Mechanized Brigade with the participation of several technical support and aerial units, in addition to air defense units.

The exercise demonstrated the operational readiness and coordination capabilities of the participating units, highlighting the ANP’s commitment to maintaining high standards of combat preparedness and effectiveness.
