ALGIERS- Prime Minister, Mr. Nadir Larbaoui, chaired a government meeting on Wednesday dedicated to the study and examination of several important issues.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s office, executive decrees related to significant development projects of strategic importance were examined during this meeting.
Projects such as the development of the railway network, particularly concerning the Béchar-Tindouf-Gara Djebilet railway project, were discussed. Additionally, the national program for desalinating seawater initiated by the President of the Republic, aimed at improving the national drinking water supply system as part of a comprehensive strategy to enhance water security, was reviewed.
Coordinating Efforts to Accelerate Digitization Process
Furthermore, the government also explored possibilities for coordinating efforts across various sectors to accelerate the digitization process, particularly focusing on aspects related to the exchange of functionalities in computer systems.
An overview of the 2023/2024 plowing and sowing campaign and the upcoming harvest campaign was also presented during this meeting. Regarding this matter, the government emphasized the implementation of benefits granted by the President of the Republic for farmers, along with providing technical and operational support through various public institutions.
