ALGIERS– In a significant development, the High Security Council, under the leadership of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, convened to address the ongoing crisis in occupied Palestine. The Presidency of the Republic issued a compelling press release highlighting Algeria’s unwavering commitment to supporting the Palestinian people.

Expressing deep concern for the plight of the Palestinian population and the atrocities committed by the occupying forces, Algeria firmly denounced the acts of violence against innocent civilians. The press release emphasized Algeria’s full solidarity with the Palestinian people during these turbulent times.

“Algeria expresses its refusal of these operations carried out against isolated civilians and expresses its full solidarity with the Palestinian people,” the press release affirmed, underlining the country’s principled stand against violence targeting defenseless civilians.

Furthermore, the statement underscored Algeria’s enduring belief that the path to resolution does not involve extermination or forced displacement. Instead, it advocates for the establishment of a sovereign Palestinian state, with Al Quds as its capital, based on the borders of June 1967.

In a global appeal, Algeria called upon the international community to ensure the safety and protection of isolated Palestinian civilians. This call reflects Algeria’s commitment to upholding the principles of human rights and the rule of law, fostering a peaceful and just resolution to the ongoing conflict.
