Algeria, Kuwait Enhance Bilateral Cooperation in Information, Communication

ALGIERS- In a bid to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the fields of information and communication, the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Laagab, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Kuwait to Algeria, Mohammad Al-Shabou, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Algiers.
During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to enhance collaboration in information and communication, as outlined in an official statement from the ministry. The necessity of intensifying efforts to activate coordination mechanisms and cooperation in the information domain between Algeria and Kuwait was a key point of discussion.
In particular, the officials emphasized the need to update the cooperation agreement in the field of information, originally signed in Kuwait on April 20, 2008. Additionally, they underscored the importance of renewing the executive cooperation program in the information domain, initially signed in Kuwait City in 2013, to cover the upcoming years.
The ministry’s statement highlighted the intention to activate these mechanisms through the establishment of a joint technical committee on information. This committee is an integral part of the executive cooperation program in the information sector for the years 2013-2014-2015.
The meeting signifies a commitment to fostering a more robust and mutually beneficial relationship between Algeria and Kuwait in the critical areas of information and communication. As both nations recognize the importance of effective collaboration, the initiatives discussed aim to create a framework that aligns with contemporary challenges and opportunities in the evolving landscape of information dissemination.
