Algiers- Algeria, May 13, 2024 – Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Tayeb Zitouni, held discussions on Sunday in Manama (Bahrain) with the Lebanese Minister of Trade and Economy, Amine Salam, to explore avenues for enhancing economic and trade cooperation between Algeria and Lebanon, according to a statement from the Ministry.
The meeting occurred at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) during Mr. Zitouni’s attendance at the ministerial-level Economic and Social Council meeting, which prepares for the ordinary Arab Summit scheduled for May 16 in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The two ministers deliberated on ways to strengthen economic and trade cooperation between Algeria and Lebanon and exchanged views on matters of mutual interest, the statement noted.
During the meeting, Mr. Zitouni and Mr. Salam expressed their readiness to “bolster bilateral relations between the two countries across various sectors, particularly in trade and investment, within the framework of reinforcing Arab economic integration and complementarity,” the statement concluded.
