Algeria Moves to Strengthen National Readiness: Cabinet Approves General Mobilization Law

In a strategic move to fortify state preparedness and sovereignty, President Tebboune chairs cabinet meeting adopting legislation aligned with Article 99 of the Constitution.

Algiers, Algeria | April 21st, 2025 — In a decisive step toward enhancing Algeria’s institutional readiness and strategic national defense framework, the Council of Ministers, under the chairmanship of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, approved on Sunday a key legislative project pertaining to general mobilization.

 

The bill, as presented and adopted during the cabinet session, lays out the comprehensive provisions for the organization, preparation, and operationalization of general mobilization, as constitutionally enshrined in Article 99 of the Algerian Constitution.
