Algeria-Oman: FM Attaf Delivers Written Message from President Tebboune to Sultan Haitham bin Tariq

Algiers- Algeria, May 15, 2024 – Ahmed Attaf, Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, made a diplomatic visit to Muscat, the capital of Oman, where he held, on Wednesday, discussions with His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq. During the meeting, Attaf delivered a written message from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, expressing fraternal greetings and conveying best wishes for Oman’s continued progress and development, as stated in a press release issued by the Algerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting served as an opportunity to delve into the multifaceted relationship between Algeria and Oman, covering political, economic, social, and cultural dimensions. Both sides explored the potential for further development in these areas, reflecting the keen interest and commitment shown by the leaders of both nations. Sultan Haitham bin Tariq took the opportunity to convey his regards to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, emphasizing Algeria’s significant role within the United Nations Security Council during its presidency. Algeria’s leadership was commended for its efforts in advocating for the interests of the Arab world, notably in championing the Palestinian cause.
