The visit, led by Mr. Sofiane Chaib, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad, was held in implementation of the President’s instructions to foster deeper ties with the diaspora, encourage business engagement, and unlock doors for Algerian investors residing abroad.

The event, titled “Successful Experiences and Acquired Expertise,” witnessed enthusiastic participation from a diverse cross-section of the diaspora, including business leaders, entrepreneurs, and young professionals. It was also attended by Algeria’s Ambassador to Belgium, Mr. Mohamed Amine Bencherif, as well as a representative from the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI).

A key highlight of the session was the remote intervention of the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups, and Micro-Enterprises, who outlined Algeria’s vast and evolving investment landscape, emphasizing the government’s dedication to creating a business-friendly environment backed by fiscal and parafiscal incentives, especially for start-ups and SMEs.

Secretary of State Chaib echoed these sentiments, reaffirming the state’s commitment to placing the Algerian diaspora at the heart of economic renewal, and extending a heartfelt invitation for them to return, invest, and contribute their expertise to the homeland’s progress.

The dialogue fostered genuine enthusiasm among diaspora members, who expressed deep pride in the renewed national interest in their contributions, and a readiness to translate their international experience into impactful investments in their country of origin.
