Algiers, Algeria – March 5, 2024 – The Chief of Staff of the Algerian People’s National Army, General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha, was received on Sunday by the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense, Khaled Ben Mohamed al-Attiyah.
This meeting served as an opportunity for the Chief of Staff of the ANP to underscore the President’s commitment to strengthening the bonds of brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations.
Invited by the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces, Salem Ben Hamed al-Aqeel al Nabit, General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha landed in Doha on Sunday for an official visit during which he will participate in the 8th edition of the Doha International Maritime Defence Exhibition and Conference (DIMDEX-2024).
During his meeting with the Qatari Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense, Khaled Ben Mohamed al-Attiyah, Chanegriha expressed his gratitude for the warm invitation extended to attend the DIMDEX-2024, emphasizing his deep satisfaction at returning to Qatar. He conveyed the greetings of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, expressing the President’s keen interest in strengthening fraternal and cooperative ties with Qatar and elevating bilateral military relations to the level of excellence.
General of the Army Saïd Chanegriha seized this opportunity to reaffirm his commitment to promoting and strengthening military cooperation between the two countries. He emphasized the importance of continuously enhancing this cooperation, with the shared commitment of the leaders of both nations to further develop and realize its full potential.
Mr. Al-Attiyah highlighted the quality of bilateral cooperation and the strategic partnership between Algeria and Qatar, reflecting the strong determination of the leaders of both countries. Following this, Chanegriha met with Major General Hamad Bin Ali al-Attiyah, the Emir’s Advisor for Defense Affairs, to evaluate the trajectory of military cooperation between the two countries and explore avenues for future enhancement.
