Algeria Reaffirms Solidarity with Lebanon After Zionist Cyberattack: Minister Attaf Extends Condolences, Pledges Ongoing Support

Algiers, Algeria | September 18th, 2024 — Algeria’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, held a phone conversation on Wednesday with Lebanon’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Abdallah Bou Habib, during which he expressed Algeria’s condolences following the recent Zionist cyberattack that targeted Lebanon, resulting in multiple casualties, according to a ministry statement.
During the call, Attaf reaffirmed Algeria’s unwavering solidarity and support for Lebanon, emphasizing the brotherly nation’s challenges amid ongoing and repeated Zionist violations of its security and stability, the statement highlighted.
The Algerian minister extended heartfelt condolences to the Lebanese government and people in the wake of the Zionist cyberattack that struck Lebanon on Tuesday, leaving several victims and hundreds wounded, the same source added.
As a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, Algeria will continue its efforts to defend Lebanon’s positions, sovereignty, and vital interests in the face of escalating Zionist aggression across the region, the statement concluded.
