ALGIERS-  Algeria has repatriated 51 children (45 Palestinians and 6 Algerians) who were injured in the aftermath of Zionist aggression and bombings in the Gaza Strip. The operation, carried out on Thursday evening from Cairo Airport, was executed through two medical aircraft from the Algerian Air Force, following President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s directives. The children will receive medical care and support at military hospitals and facilities of the Algerian People’s National Army (ANP).

President Tebboune’s initiative aims to provide medical treatment in Algeria for a total of 450 Palestinian children injured in the ongoing war in Gaza. This humanitarian action will be followed by further evacuation operations, particularly targeting those who have suffered amputations.

Algeria’s commitment to its citizens stranded in Gaza remains steadfast. Despite obstacles, the country continues its efforts to repatriate Algerian nationals stuck in the Gaza Strip. Algeria collaborates closely with Egyptian authorities, the Palestinian Red Crescent, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to facilitate this process.

In recent days, Algeria has established an airlift to deliver humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza affected by the war. This solidarity operation continues, with additional aid scheduled to be dispatched next week. These various initiatives underscore Algeria’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people during this challenging period.
