Algeria, Saudi Arabia hold 1st meeting of political consultation committee, bilateral relations touched on

ALGIERS- The political consultation committee between Saudi Arabia and Algeria held its first meeting at the level of senior officials of the two countries’ foreign ministries in Riyadh, indicated a communiqué from the Saudi Foreign Ministry.

According to the same source, the meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Saleh, Saudi Deputy Minister of State for African Countries Affairs, and the Director General for Arab Countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Noureddine Khandoudi.

Also taking part in this meeting were the Ambassador of Algeria to Saudi Arabia, Mohamed Ali Benghazi, and the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to Algeria, Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Busairi, as well as a number of senior officials from the foreign ministries of the two countries.

On the occasion, the two sides discussed ways to strengthen the historical and strategic bilateral relations between the two sisterly countries in various fields. The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.
