Key Details:
1. Increased Bus Departures: In response to directives from the Ministry of Transport, Sogral’s special Eid El Adha program, commencing on Thursday and extending to the first day of Eid, features an additional 1,500 buses. This expansion results in a 30% increase in daily departures, totaling 4,800 trips from different bus stations.
2. Continuous Service During Eid: During the subsequent days of Eid El Adha, Sogral ensures at least one departure to all destinations across the country through a system of on-call services.
3. Enhanced Coordination and Safety: To manage the significant surge in travelers, expected to exceed 300,000 daily, Sogral has coordinated with National Security, Civil Protection, and the National Gendarmerie. This collaboration aims to maintain public order within the bus stations and ensure swift intervention when necessary.
4. Transporter Engagement: Correspondences have been sent to all transport operators, urging them to provide services during the specified period to handle the substantial traveler influx effectively.
5. Resource Allocation: Sogral has doubled the number of hygiene, security, and maintenance personnel across all stations. All weekly and compensatory leaves for workers have been suspended until after Eid, ensuring a 24/7 operational presence through a robust on-call system.
6. Online Ticket Sales Surge: For the first time, Sogral recorded the sale of 5,456 online tickets in a single day via the “Mahatati” service. Since its launch in 2023, the application has seen 320,000 downloads.
Mahatati Application Highlights:
– Real-time bus schedule updates.
– Online ticket purchases with interbank cards (Edahabia or CIB).
– Information on transport operators, travel schedules, and ticket prices.
– Solutions to rescheduling and trip cancellations, minimizing the need for overnight stays at bus stations.
– An “SOS Danger Infraction” feature for reporting driver misconduct, with over 1,640 reports addressed by the relevant control authorities.
Accident Prevention Initiatives: Sogral continues to run awareness campaigns in coordination with security authorities, targeting long-distance bus drivers to emphasize adherence to road safety regulations.
