ALGIERS-  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Algeria has expressed its deep condemnation regarding the recent storming and destruction of the Algerian ambassador’s residence in Khartoum, Sudan. This criminal act, which violated international law and diplomatic norms, has raised serious concerns within the Algerian government.

Algeria emphasizes the urgent need to identify and bring to justice the perpetrators and saboteurs responsible for this attack. Furthermore, the Algerian government urges all Sudanese parties involved to cease hostilities, embrace dialogue, and prioritize the restoration of peace in order to fulfill the legitimate aspirations of the Sudanese people.

In light of the ongoing crisis in Sudan, Algeria had previously evacuated its embassy staff and community members from the country. This decision was made to ensure the safety and security of Algerian citizens amidst the escalating tensions and violence in Sudan. Algeria has closely monitored the situation and remains committed to supporting Sudan’s journey towards stability, peace, and prosperity.
