ALGIERS- In a robust condemnation, Algeria expressed its strong disapproval on Tuesday of the Zionist entity’s attack on the headquarters of the Qatari Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a released statement, emphasized that “Algeria firmly condemns and denounces the continuous series of blatant and provocative violations committed by Zionist occupation forces, which targeted yesterday the headquarters of the National Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza.”
The ministry asserted that this attack “is a new transgression and a defiance of all provisions and norms of international law, contradicting the principles and values of humanity that call for the protection of civilians and the avoidance of targeting civilian and humanitarian structures.”
Calling for Security Council Action
The Algerian Foreign Ministry views this assault on a humanitarian infrastructure dedicated to rebuilding what has been destroyed by the hands of brutal occupation as “conclusive evidence of the intention of this entity, which only knows the language of destruction.”
The statement reiterated Algeria’s complete solidarity “with the Palestinian brothers and with the fraternal state of Qatar following this blatant attack.”
Furthermore, the ministry stressed that the responsibility to end Zionist aggression and ensure the protection of the Palestinian people lies entirely with the Security Council. It called on the Council to fulfill its duty, emphasizing that it cannot evade its responsibility, bearing the consequences of its inability to act decisively to halt the aggression.
Algeria’s condemnation reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting the rights of the Palestinian people and denouncing any actions that violate international law and humanitarian principles. The call for Security Council intervention underscores the urgency of addressing the situation and preventing further violations in the region.
