Algeria: Two Terrorist Support Elements Arrested and Over 12 Quintals of Hashish Seized

ALGIERS- The Ministry of National Defense (MDN) announced in a statement released this Wednesday the arrest of 02 elements providing support to terrorist groups.
These arrests were made during two operations conducted by units of the People’s National Army (ANP) across several provinces of the country during the period from March 20 to 26.
Also during the same period, ANP elements managed to arrest 29 drug traffickers and thwarted attempts to smuggle 12 quintals and 83 kg of processed cannabis at the border areas with Morocco.
These operations, carried out jointly with various security services, also resulted in the seizure of 325,406 psychotropic tablets, the statement added.
