Algeria: Unified Graduation Ceremony of Police Officers Marks a Milestone in Algeria’s Security Framework

Algiers, Algeria | November 16th, 2024 — In a demonstration of Algeria’s unwavering commitment to strengthening its security forces, the Minister of Interior, Local Authorities, and Urban Development, Brahim Merad, presided over the unified graduation ceremony for police officers on Saturday. The ceremony, held at the Abdelmadjid Bouzbid Police Training School in Soumaâ, Blida, was a significant event, underscoring the pivotal role of law enforcement in maintaining stability and upholding the rule of law.
Minister Merad was accompanied by the Director General of National Security, Ali Bedoui, along with an impressive array of high-profile attendees. The event witnessed the participation of several government ministers, the President of the National Human Rights Council, senior state officials, representatives from various security branches, and the Governor of Blida. Senior officials from the Directorate General of National Security (DGSN) were also in attendance, emphasizing the importance of this occasion in Algeria’s institutional landscape.
