ALGIERS- The Ministry of Health and the World Health Organization (WHO) have finalized the signing of the 2024-2025 Cooperation Program, as announced in a statement released by the ministry on Thursday.
The signing ceremony for the cooperation program occurred on Wednesday evening at the National Institute of Public Health (INSP). The primary objective of this program is to leverage WHO’s expertise to address Algeria’s national health needs and priorities in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals.
According to the statement, the cooperation program aims to evaluate the achievements made under the previous program and to establish technical guidelines for the implementation of the 2024-2025 Action Plan.
The signing ceremony was attended by Djamel Fourar, the Director General of Health Prevention and Promotion at the Ministry of Health, and Nouhou Hamadou, the WHO Representative in Algeria. Representatives from various UN agencies, officials from the Ministry of Health and its affiliated institutions, as well as WHO experts, were also present during the ceremony.
