Algerian-American Cooperation: Algerian Police’s Head Conducts Working Visit to the USA

Algiers- Algeria, May 14, 2024 – As part of the bilateral cooperation between Algeria and the United States in law enforcement, Mr. Ali Badaoui, the Director General of the National Police, along with senior officials from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), is currently on a working visit to the United States of America this week, as announced by the DGSN in a statement.
The purpose of this visit, according to the statement, is to enhance cooperation and exchange expertise and experiences in combating organized transnational crime, while also exploring new operational and tactical methods to tackle criminal activities.
During the visit, the Director General of National Security held a meeting with Mr. James Smith, the Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in New York, where both parties discussed various challenges and issues concerning law enforcement jurisdiction.
The meeting, as specified in the statement, was attended by the Ambassador of Algeria to Washington and the Ambassador of the United States of America to Algeria.
