The primary focus of the meeting was to evaluate the progress achieved in implementing decisions made by the leaders of both countries, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune of Algeria and President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Turkey. These decisions stemmed from the inaugural session of the High-Level Cooperation Council held in May the previous year. Additionally, discussions revolved around preparations for the forthcoming second session of the High-Level Cooperation Council. Prior to the formal proceedings, Minister Attaf engaged in a lengthy one-on-one meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Minister Hakan Fidan. Their discussions delved into the core priorities of bilateral cooperation between Algeria and Turkey. They also addressed issues of shared interest, particularly those related to the Mediterranean neighborhood and broader regional affiliations. Notably, the ministers explored the development of relations in North Africa and kept a keen eye on developments in the Sahel region, demonstrating their commitment to regional stability.

During his visit, Minister Attaf had the honor of being received by Numan Kurtulmus, the President of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. This meeting provided an opportunity to review the qualitative evolution of Algerian-Turkish relations, shedding light on the prospects for continued expansion, with a specific emphasis on parliamentary cooperation.

In conclusion, Minister Attaf and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, jointly hosted a press conference to unveil the outcomes of the second session of the Joint Planning Commission. They also unveiled the imminent milestones on the horizon for their bilateral cooperation, emphasizing the productivity and promise embedded in their partnership. This visit underscores the unwavering commitment of Algeria and Turkey to bolster their relations in various domains, marking a promising chapter in their diplomatic journey.
