ALGIERS- During a working and inspection visit to the Sixth Military Region in Tamanrasset, General of the Army Corps and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), Said Chanegriha, reiterated Algeria’s unwavering support for just causes worldwide, particularly highlighting the Sahrawi and Palestinian issues.
General Chanegriha emphasized that despite the geographical distance between Palestine and Western Sahara, both peoples endure similar suffering under occupation forces, marked by repression, injustice, and tyranny.
“Despite cultural and geographical differences, occupation remains at the core of injustice and violations of human dignity. The occupier continues its fierce repression of popular resistance, branding it as terrorism, while the international community remains silent,” he stated.
Calling upon the free world, General Chanegriha urged for strengthened cohesion to combat all forms of colonialism. He stressed the importance of solidarity in confronting historical injustices and paving the way for a just future for these peoples.
“Through fostering solidarity against these longstanding and obsolete injustices and preparing the groundwork for a peaceful and equitable future for these peoples,” he added.
