Algerian Authorities’ Humanitarian Gesture Elicits Gratitude Amidst Makhzen’s Distortion Efforts

ALGIERS- In a world rife with political tension, where compassion is often overshadowed by animosity, a heartwarming story of humanitarian solidarity emerged, transcending borders and nationalities. The Algerian authorities’ exceptional response to the plight of a Moroccan citizen, Rahma El-Ghazouini, evoked gratitude and admiration from thousands of Moroccans. However, amidst this display of goodwill, the Makhzen intelligence apparatus and its media mouthpieces embarked on a campaign to taint the image of the Algerian authorities and sow discord between the two neighboring nations.
The catalyst for this orchestrated misinformation campaign was a video by the Dzair Tube electronic channel, which showcased the Algerian authorities’ compassionate care for Rahma El-Ghazouini’s health condition. The video, presented by the journalist Mister AB, resonated with tens of thousands of Moroccans, who saw it as a testament to the Algerians’ kindness, leadership, and humanity. However, as the Makhzen regime’s propagandists sought to undermine the positive perception of Algeria, they coerced Rahma El-Ghazouini’s son, El-Hadi, into making statements designed to harm the reputation of the Algerian authorities among Moroccan citizens.
In the video, following his return to Morocco, it became apparent that El-Hadi had been manipulated and influenced to change the narrative surrounding his mother’s treatment. Instead of acknowledging the Algerian authorities’ support and sympathy for his mother’s condition, he was made to claim that they had “taken advantage” of her situation for their own benefit.
The Makhzen-sponsored website, Hespress, maliciously alleged that Algeria had deliberately prolonged Rahma El-Ghazouini ‘s medical stay to create a deceptive image. However, this accusation is nothing more than a baseless attempt to defame Algeria’s true intentions.
Contrary to these fabrications, the truth about the Algerian authorities’ goodwill towards the Moroccan people has been evident for some time. When President Tebboune decided to sever diplomatic ties with the Makhzen regime, he assured the Moroccan people that this move was not directed against them. In an interview with “Le Figaro,” he emphasized that the issue lay with the Moroccan regime, not the Moroccan people, and reaffirmed the presence of 80,000 Moroccans living peacefully in Algeria.
Furthermore, President Tebboune’ support for the Moroccan national football team during their triumph in 2019 demonstrated the fraternal relations Algeria sought to foster with its neighbors.
In contrast, the Makhzen regime’s actions, such as the tragic killing of three Algerian truck drivers by their air force, reveal a dark side that prioritizes selfish interests over human life and regional stability.
The video of Rahma El-Ghazouini’s treatment in Algeria resonated widely on social media, garnering immense appreciation from Moroccans for Algeria’s genuine care and attention. Despite the ongoing crisis between the two countries and the air embargo, the Algerian authorities showed remarkable compassion by allowing a Saudi plane carrying Moroccan pilgrims, including Rahma El-Ghazouini, to land at Houari Boumediene Airport for urgent medical assistance.
At the Salim Zemirli specialized hospital, Rahma El-Ghazouini received exceptional treatment and care from a dedicated medical team, who tended to her for two weeks.
During a heartfelt encounter at the hospital, Hajja Rahma El-Ghazouini made a poignant request to the journalist, Mister AB, urging him to return to Morocco to be with her family, whom she dearly missed.
Despite her health circumstances, her spirit remained unyielding, and she took the opportunity to extend profound gratitude to President Tebboune and the Algerian authorities for their compassionate and humanitarian stance.
Her heartfelt request to return to her family in Morocco was swiftly granted, and she was given a warm farewell by the Algerian medical staff who accompanied her to the plane. Throughout her stay, she expressed immense gratitude to President Tebboune and the Algerian people for their unwavering humanitarian stance.
In conclusion, the Algerian authorities’ noble actions exemplify the spirit of compassion that transcends national borders, proving that genuine human kindness and solidarity can overcome political hostilities. While the Makhzen intelligence apparatus and its mouthpieces attempt to taint this compassionate image, the truth remains steadfast: Algeria’s intentions are benevolent and rooted in the well-being of its neighbors. It is essential to see through the veil of propaganda and recognize the sincerity of humanitarian gestures that unite us all as fellow human beings.
