Algiers, Algeria | July 5th, 2024 — On this historic day of July 5th, marking Algeria’s Independence Day, the grand final of the Algerian Cup saw MCA (Mouloudia Club d’Alger) face off against CRB (Chabab Riadhi de Belouizdad) at the iconic July 5th Stadium. The match, filled with suspense, concluded with CR Belouizdad lifting the coveted trophy.
Despite high expectations for Youcef Belaili and his MCA teammates, it was CR Belouizdad that emerged victorious on July 5, 2023. Algerian international Chouaib Keddad scored the match’s only goal with a header from a corner just before the end of the first half, ensuring his team’s triumph over MCA, the reigning Algerian champions.
