ALGIERS-  Abdelkader Bengrina, the head of Algeria’s El-Bina Watani Movement, affirmed his party’s unwavering support for state institutions, particularly President Tebboune, whom he sees as symbolizing the continuity of the Algerian state.

Speaking on Friday during the regular session of the Shura Council at the “Sahel” cinema hall in the Chéraga municipality of the capital, Bengrina stated that his movement “will continue to support state institutions, with the President of the Republic at the forefront, symbolizing the continuity of the state, and the Algerian People’s National Army, which is entrusted with noble tasks in protecting borders and sovereignty, affirming national cohesion with the people, a condition missing in many armies worldwide from their people.”

He emphasized the importance of Algeria’s security and stability, considering it an “exception in the region,” and called for its preservation and sustainability as it serves as the “guarantor, after Almighty God, for realizing the New Algeria project.”

Bengrina highlighted that Algeria has overcome red lines and swiftly transitioned from a phase of political deadlock to laying the foundations for genuine development. He credited this positive transformation to the Algerian people’s awareness and the national elite’s vigilance, which prevented the return of corruption.

Regarding Algeria’s strategic direction, he noted its focus on ensuring defense, food, water, and energy security, along with positive economic indicators despite the setbacks caused by the COVID-19 crisis and ongoing conflicts.

Furthermore, Bengrina stressed Algeria’s commitment to social welfare principles by fulfilling social obligations and supporting a wide range of citizens. He also emphasized Algeria’s regained international presence and positive influence in regional issues through President Tebboune’s diplomatic efforts.

In addressing the situation in Palestine, Bengrina thanked Algeria’s UN mission for advocating the Palestinian cause in the Security Council under the direct guidance of the President. He strongly condemned the US veto, which disregards Palestinian bloodshed and exposes the hypocrisy of democratic values claimed by so-called civilized nations, whose policies contradict the aspirations of their people.

In conclusion, Bengrina affirmed Algeria’s resolve to uphold its principles, protect its sovereignty, and champion just causes globally, underscoring the nation’s commitment to progress and stability under the leadership of President Tebboune.
