Algiers, Algeria | May 20, 2024 — Minister of Energy, Mohamed Arkab, is set to begin a working visit to the Republic of Congo-Brazzaville this Monday, according to a statement from the ministry.
Accompanying Minister Arkab on this two-day visit, from May 20 to 22, will be the CEOs of Sonatrach, Sonelgaz, and the National Agency for Mining Activities.
“This visit is part of joint efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries and expand cooperation in the fields of energy and mining, particularly following the visit of the Congolese Minister of Hydrocarbons to Algeria in May 2022,” the statement explained.
During the visit, Minister Arkab will engage in several meetings and discussions with Congolese officials, including the ministers of hydrocarbons, energy, and water resources, the statement added.
The visit aims to enhance bilateral ties and explore new avenues for collaboration in the energy and mining sectors, reflecting the commitment of both nations to deepening their strategic partnership.
