Algiers, Algeria | January 25th, 2025 — Mohamed Meziane, Algeria’s Minister of Communication and special envoy of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, was received on Saturday in Nairobi by Kenyan President William Ruto. The meeting, which underscores Algeria’s commitment to deepening its ties with Kenya, reflects the growing importance of African solidarity in addressing regional and continental challenges.
In an official statement, Algeria’s Ministry of Communication confirmed, “As a special envoy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Minister of Communication, Mohamed Meziane, was received today in Nairobi by William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya.”
During the meeting, Meziane delivered a personal letter from President Tebboune to his Kenyan counterpart. In this letter, President Tebboune conveyed his warm fraternal greetings and reaffirmed Algeria’s steadfast desire to strengthen the bonds of friendship and cooperation with Kenya.
A Shared Vision for Stronger Bilateral Relations
The discussions provided an invaluable opportunity to exchange views on various dimensions of the bilateral relationship between Algeria and Kenya. Both parties explored pathways to broaden their collaboration in areas of mutual interest, aligning with the strategic vision of Presidents Tebboune and Ruto to elevate the Algeria-Kenya partnership to new heights.
