Algiers, Algeria | June 11th, 2024 — Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Attaf undertook a diplomatic mission on Tuesday, serving as a Special Envoy on behalf of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune. During his visit to Turkey, Attaf delivered a written message from President Tebboune to his Turkish counterpart, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, “Mr. Attaf was received in audience by the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, to whom he delivered a written message from his brother, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune.”
The ministry clarified that this message is part of the ongoing efforts to strengthen the ties between Algeria and Turkey, aimed at elevating their bilateral relations to new heights.

During the meeting, Attaf and Erdogan discussed the current cooperation and partnership between Algeria and Turkey, highlighting the positive trajectory of their relations. They also addressed significant developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and the Sahel-Saharan region.
President Erdogan conveyed his warm regards to President Tebboune through Minister Attaf, expressing his eagerness for a future meeting with Tebboune.
