Algerian FM Attaf Holds Talks with Iranian Counterpart to Strengthen Bilateral Relations

ALGIERS- Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, received, today, a phone call from his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, according to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The discussions between the two ministers addressed the ongoing developments in the genocidal war against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the diplomatic mobilization efforts undertaken by Algeria in support of the Palestinian cause within the framework of the United Nations Security Council.

Additionally, the two parties discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations in preparation for upcoming high-level engagements between the two countries, expected in the near future.

The conversation highlights the shared commitment of Algeria and Iran to addressing critical regional issues, particularly the plight of the Palestinian people. Both ministers reaffirmed their countries’ unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and underscored the importance of diplomatic efforts to end the violence and achieve a just and lasting solution.
