Algiers, Algeria | July 8th, 2024 — Ahmed Attaf, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, signed the condolence book on Monday at the Russian Embassy in Algiers, mourning the passing of the Russian Ambassador to Algeria, Valerian Shuvaev.
“With great sadness and deep sorrow, accompanied by our compassion and full solidarity, I extend, on behalf of the staff and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, and in my personal capacity, my sincere condolences to the family of the late Ambassador Valerian Shuvaev, and to all members of the Russian Embassy in Algiers, as well as to members of the Russian diplomatic corps in Moscow and abroad,” Minister Attaf wrote in the condolence book.
“Sharing in the grief of our Russian friends for the loss of Ambassador Shuvaev, we wish to highlight the qualities of this seasoned diplomat who dedicated his life to serving his country. In his noble missions in Algeria, up until his last breath, he tirelessly contributed with remarkable dedication to the strengthening and deepening of the strategic partnership between our two friendly countries and peoples,” the minister added.
