ALGIERS- The Algerian Football Federation (FAF) issued a statement on Wednesday refuting false statements attributed to its president, Walid Sadi.
“Informing the public and media, the FAF categorically denies the statements and information circulating on certain websites and accounts, falsely attributed to FAF President Mr. Walid Sadi, which lack any factual basis,” the statement reads.
The FAF clarified that President Sadi has never made the alleged remarks or promises being reported. Furthermore, it emphasized that the president communicates with stakeholders exclusively through the official channels of the national football authority.
“The official communication channels of the FAF are the sole means through which the president communicates,” the FAF reiterated, while also reserving “the right to pursue legal action against the perpetrators of these falsehoods.”
This clarification comes amidst speculation surrounding remarks supposedly made by President Sadi, underscoring the importance of relying on verified information from official sources. The FAF’s stance reaffirms its commitment to transparency and accuracy in its communications, aiming to maintain trust and credibility within the football community.
