The FAF is in the final stages of deciding the location for the team’s preparatory camp, which will be confirmed by December 10. Sadi revealed that three options are being considered: Senegal, Ghana, and Equatorial Guinea. The final decision will be made once friendly matches are scheduled, taking into account the preferences of the coaching staff and the logistical aspects of the camp.
Addressing the media, Sadi emphasized, “We have reservations for the entire ‘Stadium Hotel,’ located adjacent to the Bouaké Sports Square. This hotel has undergone a complete renovation and has received approval from the African Union.”
Highlighting the strategic approach, Sadi noted, “The national team will experience conditions similar to those during the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, where Algeria emerged victorious. We spared no effort to ensure the best possible conditions for the national team to perform well during AFCON 2023.”
The FAF president confirmed that the national team would initiate its preparations for the AFCON finals at the Technical Center in Sidi Moussa, Algiers, where they will stay for a week before heading to the external training camp.
The team is set to kick off its AFCON campaign on January 15 against Angola at the Stade de la Paix in Bouaké “Peace Stadium”. Subsequent matches include Burkina Faso on January 20 and Mauritania on January 23, both to be held in Bouchaoui as well.
As Algeria aims to defend its AFCON title, the commitment of the FAF to meticulous planning and optimal conditions underscores the nation’s determination to make a strong impression on the continental stage.
