Algerian Foreign Ministry follows up on case of two Algerians killed in Mecca while performing Umrah

ALGIERS–  The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad offered, Saturday, its condolences to the two families of the two Algerians killed in Mecca, on February 20, assuring to follow up on this case together with the concerned parties, in order to elucidate the circumstances of this accident, said a statement of the ministry.

“The ministry is following up, in coordination with the Algerian embassy in Riyadh and the Consulate General in Jeddah, on this case in order to elucidate the circumstances”, in collaboration with the Saudi authorities,” added the same source.

Saudi police announced that they had arrested a pilgrim of Algerian nationality, presumed guilty of the murder of two of his compatriots in a hotel. The suspect has been brought to justice to answer for his actions.
