ALGIERS- The 11th session of Algerian-French political consultations took place on Tuesday in Algiers, chaired by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Lounes Magramane, and the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, Ms. Anne-Marie Descôtes.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this session “provided an opportunity to review the overall state of relations between the two countries on the political level, as well as bilateral cooperation in all areas, particularly economic relations and the issue of people’s mobility.”
The statement further elaborated that both parties addressed international and regional issues of mutual interest, including the situation in the Sahel region, Mali, and the Middle East, with a primary focus on the situation in Palestine and the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, as well as the issue of Western Sahara.
