Algerian-French Relations on Stable Footing, Says Foreign Minister Attaf

ALGIERS- The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ahmed Attaf, addressed the state of Algerian-French relations on Thursday, highlighting their return to normalcy after experiencing some tensions in 2023.
Attaf, speaking during a press briefing to review Algeria’s diplomatic efforts on various current affairs, stated that “there are no issues in Algerian-French relations.”
Furthermore, the Algerian Foreign Minister mentioned that “a meeting is scheduled soon with his French counterpart in anticipation of upcoming bilateral events.”
According to reports from certain media outlets, citing diplomatic sources, French Minister of Foreign Affairs, Stéphane Séjourné, is also preparing to visit Algiers soon. Discussions are expected to focus on bilateral relations and preparations for the State visit of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to France in the coming autumn.
