ALGIERS- Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui chaired a government meeting on Wednesday, addressing various crucial topics spanning multiple sectors.
The meeting primarily focused on enhancing the governance of public finance control, in alignment with the law on public accounting rules and financial management. The aim is to implement a new approach to expenditure control, as outlined in the statement released by the Prime Minister’s office.
Another key point on the agenda was the establishment of seven new administrative districts, following the instructions of President Abdelmadjid Tebboune issued on December 28, 2023. This initiative is part of the President’s commitment to reforming territorial organization and local administration, bringing it closer to the citizens’ expectations.
Ensuring a stable water supply was also a significant aspect of the meeting, aligning with the directives of the Head of State. The government discussed measures to secure access to potable water, addressing a fundamental need for the population.
Towards the end of the session, the government reviewed the final stages of the natural, environmental, and attractive development project for Oued El Harrach in Algiers. According to the Prime Minister’s office, the project is slated for completion by March of this year.
This comprehensive approach reflects the government’s commitment to efficient financial management, administrative optimization, and essential infrastructure projects, all aimed at meeting the needs and expectations of the Algerian citizens.
