ALGIERS- Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui presided over a government meeting in Algiers on Saturday, addressing several crucial issues. The meeting covered various topics, and key highlights include:
1. Market Regulation: The government reviewed the implementation of directives from President Abdelmadjid Tebboune regarding the supply and regulation of the national market. This aims to ensure effective measures are in place to address market dynamics and meet the needs of the population.
2. Imam Statute Revision: An important presentation focused on the revision and enhancement of the statute and salaries of imams. The goal is to align the imam’s status with those of other public sector professionals, such as those in education, higher education, and health. This initiative follows President Tebboune’s instructions issued during the cabinet meeting on December 24.
3. Traffic Safety Measures: Discussions included projects for executive texts related to the organization of technical inspections for vehicles. The aim is to enhance road safety and reduce traffic accidents. Additionally, measures concerning the customs clearance of fishing boats under five years old, intended for deep-sea fishing, were addressed during the meeting.
The government meeting reflects the commitment to addressing various aspects of governance, from market stability to social and occupational considerations, with a focus on implementing President Tebboune’s directives for the betterment of Algeria’s socio-economic landscape.
