ALGIERS- Marking generations, the famous Algerian actor, Athmane Ariouat, surprised his audience by refusing three billion centimes for a photo shoot.

Indeed, after having vanished for more than twenty years, the great actor has recently resurfaced on the screens. Thus rejoicing all his admirers of different generations. Known for her historic and outstanding roles, the icon of the seventh art has recently created the event. The Algerian Athmane Ariouat refused a large sum amounting to three billion centimes of dinars for a simple photo.

This is what the son-in-law of Salah Aougrout shared on the airwaves of a radio station. Brahim Irban revealed that the famous actor of “Carnival Fi Dachra” had declined an important offer. This was about a photo shoot that an advertising agency had offered to Ariouat with, in return, a remuneration amounting to three billion.

The same speaker explained that the agency in question offered the Algerian actor to pose for an advertisement. This consisted of highlighting his character while wearing a costume. The purpose of this photo session was to display it on a billboard in all the wilayas of Algeria.

“Ariouat is a man of value, I understood that well,” said Brahim Irban.

In this vein, the radio host revealed that the gesture made by Athmane Ariouat was exceptional. To refuse such a large sum is an unprecedented and improbable action according to him. “After offering him three billion for a simple photo, Ariouat smiled. I thought that after this reaction, he was going to accept, but it was the opposite, ”said Brahim Irban.

“When we left the agency, I wanted to understand. I asked him why he refused. Athmane Ariouat’s response was a blow for the young animator. “He told me that he did not belong to this artistic field,” he added.

A gesture that probably marked Irban for the rest of his life. While some would find it strange, others, like Brahim, praised his courage and modesty. “When your art, your image and your honor exceed billions, you become a real artist (…) Ariouat is a very modest man, he refused this offer, because he has principles”, he concluded.
